Minh’s Notes

Once again, Jon Johansen (“DVD Jon”) has been brought back to court. What always strikes me is that he’s being tried in Norwegian Courts, under American law, which should have no jurisdiction there. Sure, there’s always the point that he has violated American law because his software was made available in the US. But then, why don’t they bring Jon over to the US? Instead, they’re making Norway figure this whole case out.

Well, I guess that if he is tried in Norway, it gives him an advantage, which is what we all want — yes, you want him to win, too. (Don’t you like forced opinions?)
